Poem 29: 16/6/25; We Saw An Otter Today

We Saw An Otter Today

I'm not quite sure what else to say

But that we saw an otter today

We sat and watched the water flow

What was to happen we did not know

I gazed onto the Eden river

And in the middle saw something slither

It took a while to work it out

But once I knew I had no doubt

There was an otter on a stone

Eating a fish all on its own

We couldn't believe that it was real

A moment in time our eyes did steal

We saw it play and we saw it swim

Sat under the tree just me and Tim

I'm not quite sure what else to say

But that we saw an otter today
